The Reason is Love. That is the reason for the season!
This Week’s Message
We celebrate the birth of Jesus at Christmas time. The reason Jesus came to Earth was to remind us that God is love and love is, indeed, the answer to our problems.
When we approach the world with love-filled hearts, everything looks better. Everyone can’t always be in a good mood. When we are treated rudely or dismissively, we perpetuate bad feelings by reacting negatively. What if we choose instead to take a breath and not react.
Maybe the person who has come across in a rude manner has had some very bad news that day and isn’t good at hiding it? Do we give people leeway instead of always putting our own feelings first? Christmas is a lovely and love-filled holiday but it can also add stress as tasks are added to our already full schedules.
Give the gift of love this season and it will return to you multiplied.
Music, Meditation and Fellowship
This week, our music will be provided by these amazing singer and musicians: Joy Katzen-Guthrie and Terrel and Michele Lovett and the Band. Hymns and Christmas carols will be led by Teri Lynn, Debbe & Kimen.
In addition to the meditation time in our Sunday services, we also have a small group meditation that meets in the Quiet Room in the rear of the sanctuary at about 10:30 AM after the 9:30 service on Sunday mornings.
Join us in the Heritage building after each of the Sunday services for snacks and a chance to meet our congregation.
Our thriving Youth Ministry classes are held at 11:00 AM in classrooms located in the Heritage building. CLasses are split by age group. If you are not sure which class your child or teen would be in, just ask for Ms. Brigitte or one of the teachers and they can help you find the right classroom.
Unity was and is built on prayer. After each of the services, our trained prayer chaplains are available to pray with you.
We hope to see you this Sunday at Unity of Palm Harbor!
