What is Palm Sunday’s Meaning Today? Reverend Bob will be highlighting this at Unity of Palm Harbor on Palm Sunday, April 14th.

Palm Sunday 2019 at Unity of Palm Harbor

Palm Sunday

Palm Sunday has lost meaning for many in today’s culture. Some even believe it is a reminder that those who shout “hosanna” can quickly turn and cry, “crucify him.” Here at Unity of Palm Harbor we have another viewpoint. Palm Sunday is a day of honoring of the triumphant Christ. Not only the entrance into Jerusalem long ago but also into our lives today. What does it mean to us? How do receive Spirit into our lives, especially when we are called to change? Join us this week as we begin a powerful Holy Week experience.

Unity of Palm Harbor Sunday Services

Sunday services are uplifting and positive, with shared insight about practical spirituality that we can apply to our everyday lives to make our lives, our community and the world at large a better place. Jesus shared his wisdom with the people of the day through stories, examples and allegories. Unity therefore takes a similar approach today with a metaphysical interpretation of these teachings, bringing meaning to our lives today through these spiritual lessons.

Services are held at 1960 Tampa Road in Palm Harbor, FL at 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM every Sunday. Unity of Palm Harbor’s youth ministry classes coincide with the 11:00 AM service and meet in the Heritage Building across from the UPH Sanctuary.

Every Sunday service is filled with an engaging message, prayer, meditation and a chance to sing as a congregation. Our wonderful musicians also share sons that coincide with the message. This Sunday our musicians are Joy Katzen-Guthrie, Terrel & Michele Lovett and (at the 11 AM service) the Krouts.

Youth Ministry This Sunday

Youth Garden LessonThis Sunday, the UPH youth ministry will be experiencing an organic garden lesson to empower the youth to be instruments of change for our planet. Lessons will be using Jesus as the teaching example who started change. The lesson will include how we can use the soil, the plants, and God as instruments for change.

They will also watch a short clip of Greta Thunberg , a 16 year old Swedish student who has led youth in an international climate change movement. This video clip’s lesson is to show that we all have Christ energy within us to create positive change.

We hope to share a wonderful Sunday with you at Unity of Palm Harbor!
