That’s What Friends Are For is even more than a great song that was made popular by the immortal Dionne Warwick. For us at Unity of Palm Harbor, it is a phrase that exemplifies Friendship Sunday, which is coming up this Sunday on July 29th.
What is Friendship Sunday? Have you ever invited a friend to church?
It seems like the most natural thing in the world to share what has made a positive difference in your life, yet many people resist doing this because they worry about the possibility of making others feel committed to come again and again. At UPH, pushy, we are not! So why don’t we let those fears and worries go and, instead, let your friends and family know that you care by sharing what is important to you. After all, isn’t that really what friends are for?!
In celebration of Friendship Sunday, we will be hosting a Potluck just after the 11:00 AM service. Bring something to share if you are able, but even if you don’t, please come and join in with all of the wonderful people here at Unity of Palm Harbor!
Terrel, Michele and the Band will be premiering a new song about friendship and In Her Light will be sharing music along with Joy at both services. The youth program will be taking place in the Heritage Building at the same time as the 11:00 service, and we have a special meditation in the quiet room at the back of the sanctuary immediately following the 9:30 AM service.
We look forward to sharing friendship with all of you this Sunday.
