“The Peace That Passes” is the talk title for this Sunday, August 26th. We know we must be the peace we want to see in this world, but how do we do this?
Philippians 4:6-7 in the New International Version (NIV) of the Bible states, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Learn how to practice the meditation, “Nothing can disturb the calm peace of my soul,” let it resonate within you and then take it to the world and become known as a peacemaker.
Here is a short relaxation meditation on peace that you may enjoy. Have a listen! You can meditate on peace anytime and it only takes a minute or two. Take this time for yourself for rich rewards that get passed on to others you encounter.
If you regularly attend our Unity of Palm Harbor services on Sundays, (9:30 AM and 11:00 AM) you know that we incorporate meditation in each service. For those who would like to experience an additional meditation in a smaller setting, please join the meditation group immediately following the first service in the Quiet Room at the back of the sanctuary.
If you are feeling anxious, worried or feeling grief, it is sometimes difficult to find the peace that passes all understanding, but it is there. Prayer Chaplains are available after each servie to help you in prayer.
Youth Program and Fellowship
We hope to see you this coming Sunday! We hold the Unity of Palm Harbor youth program during the 11:00 AM service. The classrooms are in the Heritage Building across the way from the sanctuary building. We also meet in the Heritage Building for refreshments, snacks and fellowship after each of the two services on Sundays.
