The art of loving communication needs to be practiced. The more we do it, the better we get.
How do we practice this in our relationships, especially when a topic is ripe for disagreement? This Sunday, Reverend Grace will talk about the ways that we can communicate better with our partner, our family, our friends and people in the world at large. Being able to communicate with outer without becoming defensive or going on the offensive is the way to work together to get things done.
One of the ways that we can improve is to practice active listening, or listening to others without judging and to accept him/her where they are with respect for their feelings. It’s also about being comfortable in allowing silence in loving conversation. We have two ears & one mouth for a reason.
We hope to see you this Sunday where we will also learn more about empathy versus sympathy in listening and in reading and using body language as part of loving communication.
