This Sunday, Reverend Bob talks about Unity’s Poet, James Dillet Freeman.
James Dillet Freeman has the distinction of having two of his poems on the moon and was a Unity minister and mystic poet. It will take two weeks to really get into his teachings and poetry, so this Sunday will be Part 1 of 2 services on the topic.
We are very familiar with The Prayer for Protection, which Freeman wrote in 1940, but it is very interesting to learn more about the history of how the prayer came into being and what inspired it. The Prayer for Protection and his most famous poem, I Am There, were both carried to the moon and the stories surrounding how that happened are fascinating as well. This is a week that you won’t want to miss!
If you haven’t been to Unity of Palm Harbor before, we are located at 1960 Tampa Road in Palm Harbor. The property is on the south side of Tampa Rd., west of Belcher Road and just east of Palm Harbor Middle School.
Sunday services are held at 9:30 AM and 11 AM. Youth Services are held at 11 AM in the Heritage Building, across from the sanctuary.
Just after the 9:30 service, you may attend meditation in the Quiet Room at the back of the sanctuary. Also, join us for fellowship. Snacks, coffee and refreshments are served in the Heritage Building after each of the services.
We hope that you will join us for an inspiring message, reflective meditation and prayer and some great music this coming Sunday!
