Irish Spirituality is this Sunday’s message at Unity of Palm Harbor. We hope you’ll join us!
Sunday Services This Week
We have our our very own Irish minister, Reverend Bob Fortner, sharing the message this Sunday so we can all share in the Luck ‘o the Irish with his talk this week! St’ Patrick’s Day is always on March 17th, and this year that falls on Sunday, so wear your green and come on in for a bit of Irish humor mixed in to the message.
As you know, our services are held at both 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM and the message is based on the spiritually of the Irish. St. Patrick brought Christianity to Ireland and his brand of Christianity has much in common with Unity’s teachings and the messages that Jesus taught during his lifetime.
Our services include all of these: a positive and uplifting message, friendship, great music and a chance to sing together as a congregation, a time to meditate and share in prayer and a chance to fellowship during and after each service.
We have a thriving youth ministry at Unity of Palm Harbor. Classes meet in the Heritage Building on our campus while the 11:00 AM service is taking place.
Ms. Brigitte leads a talented team of teachers who work with the different age groups in a way they can best appreciate and understand the weekly lessons which are based on Unity’s core principles and the teachings of Jesus.
Ms. Brigitte shared this message relating to this Sunday’s lesson:
Our bodies are the homes of our Spirits. When we take care of our bodies, we are blessing our Spirits. We must make time to care for our bodies and not take them for granted. Kindness to ourselves as we eat, rest, play, laugh, hug, and are thankful makes our bodies feel good. Then our Spirits can share the Wisdom of God through us and with us.
The younger students can play the awareness game, I see God in me game, puzzles, chaos or quiet game and/or egg shakers. Teens will be sharing a Saint Patrick’s lesson
“As we slow down and take time to care for ourselves, our Spirit shines bright.”
This Sunday, St. Patrick’s Day, there is a Youth outing planned after the 11:00 service to go bowling as a group. Check with Ms. Brigitte for more information.
