Our annual Burning Bowl Ceremony gives participants a concrete way to let go of all the old baggage that they would like to release before entering into the new year. In this symbolic act, we write down what we would like to release- old angers, resentments, hurtful memories; really anything that blocks us from allowing goodness to enter into our lives- and place the paper into the the fire in the burning bowl to let it go.
As we look forward to beginning 2018, we have hopes and positive feelings about starting the new year. With this symbolic act, we can imprint on our thoughts that we have started the process and can more easily continue getting rid or drastically reframing the thoughts, feelings and relationships that hold us back from being our best selves.
This year, we are doing things a little differently at Unity of Palm Harbor and holding the Burning Bowl ceremony at both morning services on Sunday, New Year’s Eve. At both 9:15 and 11am on December 31st, all participants of our regular services will get to experience one of the highlights of the year.
Join us this Sunday morning and let all of your worn out baggage go so that you can begin 2018 refreshed and renewed!
We will be introducing a special New Year’s Eve evening service this year that focuses on peace for the world. More on this service here.
