“Because I Said So” – Human v. Spiritual Parenting

“Because I Said So” – Human v. Spiritual Parenting is Reverend Marilyn’s talk title this Sunday, June 8th.

While it is true that all parents don’t raise their children to be independent and self-sufficient, it is also true that we each have a human mind which is connected to the Universal Mind that will provide the guidance for each of us. Sometimes we get stuck in the rut of thinking we’ve always done it that way – but we don’t need to stay there.

No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it.

This Sunday, Reverend Marilyn will explore the theme of becoming more of a spiritual parent and going into prayer for guidance as we raise and influence our children and ourselves. In solving problems, we can rise above what created it by using a higher consciousness. After this powerful lesson, we doubt you will be using the phrase, “Because I Said So,” any longer!

Please join us at 1960 Tampa Road in Palm Harbor for one or both of our Sunday services which take place at 9:30 AM and at 11:00 AM. The youth ministry programs begin at 11:00 AM in our Heritage Building.

Sunday services always include a guided meditation within the service, but additionally, you can meet just after the 9:30 service with the meditation group that gathers in the Quiet Room at the rear of the sanctuary which you can enter through our lobby. The door is adjacent to the book store, and all are welcome. The time varies somewhat, but begins sometime between 10:15 and 10:30 depending on the timing of our early service.

Join us for coffee and refreshments in the dining area of the Heritage immediately follow each of the two services.
