Are You Feeling the Love? At Unity of Palm Harbor, we hope that your answer is yes.
This coming Sunday, Valentine’s Day will have come and gone, but true love is here to stay! When we look for love in the wrong places we can experience disappointment. Instead let us look to our own hearts and let love flow from within.
Come and celebrate all the different kinds of love there are with us at both services (9:30 am and 11:00 am).
Our services are welcoming, positive, and feature a great message every week. In addition, we have meditation, prayer, community singing and great music at every service. This week, musicians are Joy Katzen-Guthrie, Terrel, Michele and Company and Laura Lee Hubbard (@ 11:00 service only).
Our youth ministry program is at 11:00, coinciding with our second service. Classrooms for the different age groups are located in our Heritage Building across from the sanctuary.
Prayer and Unity
Prayer is at the heart of Unity. The Unity movement began with prayer and Silent Unity keeps prayer going 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our services include prayer and there are many ways to engage in prayer at Unity of Palm Harbor and at home. Have you heard of The Daily Word? Many people don’t realize that The Daily Word is a Unity publication because people of all Christian denominations enjoy it. The next time you attend one of our services, drop in at the bookstore which is located in the lobby of the Unity of Palm Harbor sanctuary and pick up a copy. We carry both the regular and large print editions.
If you would like to experience individualized prayer, look for our trained prayer chaplains at the front of the sanctuary after each of the services.
Meditation is an important part of each Unity of Palm Harbor Sunday service, but there are also some other opportunities to meditate at UPH that we’d like to let you know about.
On Sundays between the two services, there is meditation group that you can get with at 10:30 AM in the quiet room at the back of the sanctuary.
There are also two opportunities to meditate with others on Wednesdays. Wednesday at noon, Reverend Bob leads a 20 minute meditation in the sanctuary and Reverend Linda, along with others, leads another evening meditation service that lasts approximately 30 minutes or so at 6pm in the sanctuary. You can choose to attend a meditative Amrit yoga class with Deanna Gray in the sanctuary at 7pm following the evening service.
