The Golden Key is the title to a pamphlet that may have been small in size but that contained a simple but big idea: If you can focus on God when thoughts trouble you, your difficulties will be replaced by calm.
There is no power but God. I am a child of God, filled and surrounded by the perfect peace of God.
When we are going through difficult times, it is often helpful to get our minds away from the idea that is bringing up the fear or stress. This can be so difficult to do in reality. Just like anything that is meant to help us, the idea of The Golden Key is something that takes practice, but when practiced, it can quickly reframe our destructive thought patterns into more positive ideas. This calms us and opens our mind to receive new ways to think about the problem.
God is wisdom, God is truth, God is inconceivable love. God is present everywhere, God has infinite power, God is everywhere.
This Sunday, Reverend Bob will talk more about how the concept of The Golden Key can help you in your own life. Sunday services are at 9:30 AM and 11 AM. This Sunday, we will have a more extended meditation with Cynthia playing the Tibetan bowls during the meditation time. We also have a meditation session immediately following the 9:30 am service in the Quiet Room, located at the rear of the sanctuary.
Then join us after service for refreshments and snacks in the Heritage building where we have fellowship.
Our youth program takes place in the Heritage building classrooms during the 11:00 AM service.
We hope that you will join us this Sunday at Unity of Palm Harbor.
