A Fellowship of Friends is this Sunday’s message at Unity of Palm Harbor.
Fellowship of Friends
This Sunday is Friendship Sunday. We will be celebrating what it means to be a friend and we’ll also be welcoming our new members at each service. In addition, there will be a potluck celebration after the 11:00 AM service. It’s a great time to stay after the service and enjoy each other’s fellowship and meet some new people.
For the message this week, Rev. Bob will look at one of Unity’s core values -inclusiveness- and what that means. In Unity, we worship a friendly God and we love and celebrate our friends!
We’ve got a great music team and the 3 female voices of In Her Light will be joining the mix this Sunday. Our services are upbeat and positive and the music we share uplifts us, whether listening to the songs shared by the music team or when joining the congregation in songs we sing together.
Terrel, Michele and the Band will be performing and our own Joy Katzen-Guthrie will be at the grand piano sharing her voice and song as well.
Prayer is at the root of the Unity movement. Both prayer and meditation are incorporated into our services. We also have two prayer chaplains to pray with you for individualized prayer at the end of each of our services. You can read more about our Prayer Chaplain program here and learn more about the training they go through in order to facilitate this helpful service. In addition, we always have a box in the sanctuary lobby to take your prayer requests. These are prayed over voth at Unity of Palm Harbor and they also get sent on to Silent Unity to be prayed over.
The Youth ministry classes meet in the Fellowship Building, adjacent to the sanctuary at 11:00 AM.
We’re very proud of our older students who put on a great luncheon last Sunday to raise money for their Rally. Thanks to all of the students and their parents for the delicious range of foods offered. Thanks also to all who attended the luncheon and donated to this worthwhile cause.
We hope that we will get to meet you very soon. Join us this Sunday to see how we celebrate a wonderful fellowship of friends at Unity of Palm Harbor.
