Christmas Gift Giving is the message for this coming Sunday, December 1st, at Unity of Palm Harbor.
Giving of Your Gifts This Christmas
The true measure of giving is joy. We all know the joyful feeling of sharing something with another person whom we care about. Whether the gift is a present in the traditional sense or an act that you can to do make another’s life a little easier, God loves a cheerful giver, however we give. Actually, God loves us all, but cheerful givers are naturally more receptive to that love that is given. This Christmas, give from your heart and you will receive abundantly.
Christmas Gift Giving-This Sunday at UPH
Reverend Bob will be sharing the message this Sunday as we leave Thanksgiving and November behind us and move into Advent and the first day of December.
What a wonderful music lineup we have this Sunday! Laura Lee Hubbard will be sharing her music at the 9:30 AM service, Cynthia will be accompanying meditation with her beautiful and calming Tibetan bowls and Nancy Lynn will be singing at both services. We’ll also have Joy Katzen-Guthrie and Terrel, Michele and the band at both services as well.
Prayer Chaplains will be at both services for individualized prayer immediately following the service.
We also have a small group meditation that meets in the Quiet Room at 10:35 AM between the two services.
Thanksgiving Eve and “Pie Night”
If you happen to read this post before Thanksgiving, come out to our Thanksgiving Eve service provided by Sr. Minister, Bob Fortner and our resident singer/songwriter/composer and all around nice guy, Terrel Lovett. They will be providing an uplifting service of music, thoughtful gratitude and some fun and humor along the way. Immediately follow the service, join us in the Heritage building for our somewhat famous dessert potluck, fondly referred to as “Pie Night!”
Joy Katzen Guthrie’s First Friday concert
Don’t miss this wonderful look at the great American songbook by hearing Joy perform and also tell you some very interesting stories behind the songs we’ve come to know and love over the years!
